A Passport to Excellence with Kashimawo Laloko

A special event benefiting children
through the United Sports Foundation

The Passport to Excellence Program is the first in a series of community outreach events designed to provide exciting new opportunities and create lasting impact for young and impressionable athletes.

"Catch a fish and you feed a child for a day. Show them how to fish and you feed them for a lifetime."

The vision of the Foundation is to build a lighthouse of hope on Sunday July 23rd that will guide 500 children from New York NY, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chester, Harrisburg, Lancaster and Coatesville PA, Baltimore MD, Irvingtown NJ, and Wilmington DE. During an action packed day of Soccer, fun and academics these young players will all receive their personal United Sports Foundation replica " Passport to Excellence " which will be stamped as they travel through the following destination stations.

  • Dutch Dribbling Skills
  • Brazilian Sand Soccer
  • United States "Net Busters" Shooting Station
  • French Mini World Cup Tournament

In addition there will be character building programs that will take place indoors throughout the day that will emphasize:

  • The importance of Academic Excellence
  • Overcoming Adversity and Resisting Peer Group Pressure
  • One Way to Play : Drug & Alcohol free
  • The Nigerian Cultural Exchange
  • Character Values : Where do the come from?

WHO: Kashimawo Laloko is the technical director for the Nigerian Football Association. He is also the founder and Coaching Director of The Pepsi Football Academy in Nigeria and is considered the top African coach by his peers. The academy has over 3,000 students attending 28 training centers throughout Nigeria and has developed many young players who now represent the Nigerian "Super Eagles" National teams.
